To expedite your onboarding we will have action steps for you to complete. Items such as providing QBO Accountant access, bank access, and documents we need.

You may be ready to get going before we get you set up in the portal. If this is you download our checklist and/or walk through the steps below to gather the information we'll be looking for to get started.

Grant us QuickBooks Online Accountant Access

Unless we are setting up QBO for you

Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin. Select Settings ⚙, then select Manage users. Select the Accountants or Accounting firms tab. Enter your accountant’s email address, then select Invite.

Set Up Bank Access

Be sure to give us any user names you set up for us

Set up accountant read only bank access for Bank statements for all business checking, savings, credit card and loan accounts

Most of our clients choose this method as it's easier for us to access the information we need. Many banks also allow you to setup Read-Only access for accountants and bookkeepers. 

If you are unable to grant us accountant access please upload PDF statements to the client portal.

Gather Documents

Missing something from this list? Just let us know during the onboarding call you'll schedule soon. 

Prior 3 Year Tax Returns

Legal Paperwork (LLC registration, partnership agreement, any papers showing tax ID numbers for IRS or state/local agencies)

Accountable Plan

Excel Sheet or list of all income/expenses that are business related but did not go through business accounts (for example...paid business expense with cash or personal account)

You should receive your client portal link within 24 1-2 business days of signing your engagement letter. The email will come from our team.
